Mayweather Interested In Signing Mikey Garcia

Floyd Mayweather the promoter is starting to come to the forefront more and more since his retirement from the sport, and he’s got his eyes on a few new signings for Mayweather Promotions.


Undefeated WBO world super-featherweight champion Mikey Garcia (34-0-28KO) is a hot commodity in not only American boxing, but world boxing at the moment.

The talented 28 year old has been on a storm in recent years since picking up the WBO belt in 2013 from Orlando Salido at Madison Square Garden, with him now a target for Mayweather with him allegedly becoming a free agent recently.

Speaking to ES News in an open press scrum, Mayweather said:

“Mikey, Mikey we love you baby! Mikey we love you.”

He added:

“Get Mikey on the phone asap. I love Mikey Garcia, just the Garcia family period. Just up on Oxnard (California) they’ve got some hell of fighters up in Oxnard.”

He concluded:

“I do want Mikey Garcia, I do. We going to take him to that next level. We going to get him the fights he really wants.”
