It is safe to say that Floyd Mayweather and Adrien Broner’s one time friendship is now well and truly over.


Former boxing pound for pound great Floyd Mayweather and current super-lightweight Adrien Broner have had a very public fallout in recent times.

In the latest verbal exchange in the public forum between the two, Floyd Mayweather has had some very stern and harsh words for his one time friend.

In an interview with Fight Hype, Mayweather made fun of Broner’s nickname ‘The Problem’ saying he has many problems, along with calling him a “free TV type fighter” and also branded Broner as a “snake.”

He also made reference to Broner’s initials ‘AB’ being short for in his opinion: “Always broke.”

The two were previously very close associates, with Mayweather apparently taking Broner under his wing a couple of years ago, as his own active career in the sport was winding down at that time.

That certainly appears to be over now. Broner fights tonight on Premier Boxing Champions against Englishman Ashley Theophane. Here’s the full interview from Fight Hype:
