Irishman Andy Lee lost his WBO middleweight title last December to Englishman Billy Joe Saunders via a twelve round decision.
But he’s looking to get back in the ring now however and he’s calling out Puerto Rican boxing great Miguel Cotto for a potential classic showdown in New York this summer, one would suspect at the iconic Madison Square Garden:
Lee is not the only one of the two coming off the back of defeat.
Miguel Cotto is also looking to rebound from a loss in his next fight after the 35 year old was outpointed by Canelo Alvarez back in November.
The two coming together in a summer showdown would likely see the Madison Square Arena sold out in New York, due to the tremendous Puerto Rican and Irish support in the city for both fighters.
