Lee v Saunders is one of those fights as a pure boxing fan that just can’t be missed. It’s got everything an exciting middleweight world title fight could want and for this boxing writer’s money, is the most evenly split fight you’ll see anywhere all year in world boxing.

Ahead of this weekend’s highly anticipated WBO middleweight title showdown between Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders, here’s some of the details to cross off your pre-fight check list:

TV Info: BoxNation

Betting Odds

The bookies have this one as a 50/50 race across the board, for the most part, with the outright to-win betting markets currently looking like this:

I can’t recall a time ever seeing a world title fight so evenly split but all the bookmakers, it’s a real testament to the quality of the fight.

If you are looking for a bit more value however, method of victory on the fight is where you need to be.

It’s still pretty evenly matched between the two, but there is some interesting value to be had on either man here, most notably if you were looking at a flutter at an Andy Lee points win or a Billy Joe stoppage victory:

But if you really wanted a flutter, and fancied an Andy Lee stoppage somewhere along the lines, whether it be mid or late rounds, the real value to be had is in some of the round betting markets on the Irishman:

Card Info

Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders won’t be the only quality fight on the bill, there’s plenty more that includes another world title on the night that will see the first time in 82 years since a Manchester and Liverpool native clashed for a boxing world title, when Liam ‘Beefy’ Smith puts his WBO light-middleweight strap on the line against the unbeaten Jimmy Kelly.

The undercard will also feature some top notch domestic talent with the likes of Mitchell Smith, Paul Butler and Tommy Langford all on show.
