Amir Khan Not Waiting On Manny Pacquiao

An intriguing turn of events in the Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao negotiations have occurred. It appears Amir Khan’s patience on trying to secure mega-fights could be finally running out, and could you blame him?

The talented UK welterweight has said on Twitter that he’s not waiting around for Manny Pacquiao anymore, but still left the door open to the Filipino boxing icon in a tweet earlier:

Amir Khan Not Waiting On Manny Pacquiao

Many will remember Khan had been on the short end of the stick in his attempts previously to lure pound for pound kingpin Floyd Mayweather into a fight, but today’s public remarks could perhaps be a sign of Khan’s growing frustration, as a whole.

Speaking earlier this week at the amateur World Championships in Doha, Khan did elude to wanting the Pacquiao fight happening early in 2016, followed by then with a possible showdown against fellow countryman and IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook to close next year out.

With Khan and Pacquiao being good friends and a potential fight so stylistically appetizing to boxing fans, don’t write this fight off just yet – for some time in 2016 perhaps.

With reports emerging today however that Khan has pulled out of negotiations for the fight completely, the Bolton man’s next fight in 2015 will most likely one would think, now not be against Manny Pacquiao.

Khan returns to training this week with Tim Bradley and past conqueror Danny Garcia being touted in some quarters as possible final foes for 2015.
