Guildford super-bantamweight prospect, Thomas Kindon (5-0) will be looking to extend his winning run to six in six at The Metropole Hotel in Brighton on October 2nd.

The Crusader Events show headed by Scott Welch features local favourite, Lloyd Ellett (17-0) in the main event.
Entering into his sixth professional fight, the 5ft 4” prospect known as the ‘Pocket Rocket’ commented, “I’ve just started my next training camp in preparation for another six rounder on October 2nd in Brighton.”
This will be the second six round contest of Kindon’s career, the 20-year-old explained, “I’m better over the distance, I find that I’m more suited to the longer rounds.”
Kindon’s last fight ended early in the fourth round of the scheduled six round contest with opponent, Darren Pryce (0-8-2) citing a shoulder injury to secure his fifth professional win and second career stoppage.
He went on to discuss imperfections that require working on ahead of his sixth outing, “I need to show more aggression, in my last fight I was on the back-foot a bit, I’ve got into a bit of a routine boxing on the back-foot, a few other silly little things, just keeping up my guard and stuff like that.”
Opponent is yet to be confirmed but the Guildford City Gym student is looking for a challenge to propel him into title contention soon.
“I’m looking to get someone who is going to provide a step up for me,” he confirmed.
A six-time national amateur champion, Kindon raced to four fights unbeaten since making his pro bow in June 2014, scalping Francis Croes (1-28) on his debut and Anwar Alfadli (2-44-4), Dmitrijs Gutmans (2-1) and Sergejs Logins (7-2-1) along the way, respectively.
The latest victory over Welshman, Darren Pryce placed Kindon at 11th in the British super-bantamweight rankings edging the young talent closer to silverware in the near future.
“I’d like to have a title fight before the end of the year, it’d be nice but I can’t actually see it happening so probably next year like March or something but, obviously, I’ve got to win the next fight first.”
The British Boxing Board of Control have recently banned all Masters titles to be replaced with the British Challenger belt which is becoming very sought after since the announcement was made on the change.
“I’d like to win something like the new British Challenger title or Southern Area to start with,” he added.
The super-bantamweight has enjoyed a few weeks break since his last fight, stating, “I’ve had a bit of a break, been playing football a bit with my mates. I haven’t seen the gym since my last fight but I’m still fit.”
The main event of the evening will feature three-time Masters champion, Lloyd Ellett (17-0). The popular light-middleweight from Brighton counts Chris Eubank Jr. as his sparring partner and has recently signed contracts with Box Nation.
