The former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world is highly interested in the upcoming unification in the heavyweight division between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.
The significance of the fight on March 31st is considerable for the sport.
There has not been many undisputed heavyweight champions over the last two decades but one man back in his day was certainly one – Lennox Lewis.
Lewis at one time proved himself consistently as the best heavyweight during his era and recorded famous wins over the likes of Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson.
Here’s what he had to say on the upcoming Joshua vs Parker fight in Wales:
“I think the
#JoshuaParker fight should be a good one. I like both fighters. I think AJ has all the advantages you would want a fighter to have going in, and that will likely be the difference here. Parker has to fight a smart fight and use his movement to pull this one out!”
I think he’s spot on. Parker’s main chance in the fight surely has to be the use of his feet and being faster than Joshua with his attacks.
He needs to close the distance and get in and out of range quickly. A tough thing to do against Joshua indeed.
