Eubank vs Yildirim An Opportunity For Jr To Shut Critics Up

A breakdown of the IBO super-middleweight world title fight between Eubank vs Yildirim in the World Boxing Super Series tournament.

Date and venue: October 7th, 2017. Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, Stuggart, Germany

Fighter records: Chris Eubank Jr. (25-1 19KO) vs. Anvi Yildirim (16-0 10KO)

Even his most vociferous critics will admit there is some subterranean talent lurking within Chris Eubank Jr., whose father is the all-time great boxer, always well dressed and always uniquely unusual, Chris Eubank.

This fight could prove to be junior’s night to shut up his detractors as Eubank actually had to fight veteran Arthur Abraham just to enter the tournament and now faces Turkish bomb-thrower Anvi Yildirim.

Yildirim is still yet unproven himself, yet seen by many with great potential as he has had little trouble thus far going through the journeyman circuit, unbeaten with his only notable victory being against the very old and faded Glen Johnson in 2015.

It’ll be two fighters looking for more than a title, looking for some respect – which always equates to a great scrap.

Eubank, with his great conditioning and what we’ve seen from him thus far should earn him a victory.

Although, Yildirim seems awfully tough.

Eubank’s experience should keep him out of trouble from a very good fighter, yet he’ll be very close to trouble for twelve whole rounds.

Outcome: Eubank Jr. Majority decision victory
