Eddie Hearn Thinks We’ve Seen Last Of Tyson Fury In A Boxing Ring

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes we won’t see Tyson Fury in a boxing ring again after his recent medical issues that forced him to withdraw from the upcoming rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.

It has been well documented over the past weekend that lineal heavyweight champion of the world Tyson Fury was forced to pull out from his upcoming bout with Klitschko that was meant to take place in Manchester next month, with the boxing world going into overdrive online.

It was confirmed by Tyson’s uncle and trainer Peter Fury that his nephew has been battling mental issues this last while which he is now seeking help for.

Sadly however, even at a time like this for him, boxing is still a ruthless game and a business. Those within it will tell you that.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has told the BBC that he doesn’t believe Tyson Fury will be seen in a ring again and that the governing bodies are “fed up” as they have made little money from the heavyweight titles Tyson has held this past year since initially winning them back in November.

While I agree with Eddie in that we’ll probably see some of the titles stripped from Tyson ultimately if he is medically unable to box over the next while, thus not being able to defend the belts, I honestly don’t agree with his assessment that we’ll never see Fury back in a ring again.

Tyson Fury In A Boxing Ring

Tyson Fury is a fighting man who has worked his entire life just to get to this position and point in his professional boxing career to date and ultimately, when he has sought help for his issues and is well rested, I believe we’ll see him back in the ring again.

Stronger than ever. What is it they say, whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? I believe this saying to be true.

What you have to also remember is that Tyson Fury is still only 28 years old which in heavyweight terms is relatively young, never mind still been a young man in any terms in life anyway (in the grand scheme of things).

Everyone goes through bad patches in life and it is wrong for those out there online who are currently trying to kick a man when he is down at the moment, without knowing the full details.

Mental health issues are no joke. Former potential foe for Fury and bitter heavyweight rival David Haye said it well I thought:

I get no satisfaction from another mans misfortune. I know the mental & physical pain of bad injuries. Don’t judge till we know full story!
