The Bristol man impressed last night with his IBF world bantamweight title defence at the Ice Arena in Cardiff.
Southpaw world champion Lee Haskins (33-3-14KO) comprehensively shut down a game Ivan Morales to retain his title live on Channel 5 and set up a mandatory rematch with domestic rival Stuart Hall.
Haskins previously beat Hall comfortably back in 2012 via unanimous decision, and speaking in his post-fight interview after beating Morales – Haskins nicknamed the ‘Playboy’ said:
“All I was thinking during the fight, in the training, was Stuart Hall. He’s the one I wan’t. I’m literally, literally going to punch his face in. He gives me some BS online, he’s just talking a wet dream. Listen, I’ve beat him easily before, I’m going to beat him even easier again.”
He added:
“I don’t know what his problem is. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve got more hair than him or he’s got more hair on his eyebrows than his head. But listen, seriously, if he wants the lesson again I’m going to give it to him again.”
Stuart Hall who was watching the fight from home, had this reply for his rival on Twitter:
Its official lee haskins has put me to sleep within 6 rounds thru boredom watching him , he will never put me to sleep in the ring tho?
