Universally recognised (WBO, WBA Super and IBO) heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has been in his usual candid voice this week and isn’t impressed by the upcoming IBF heavyweight title fight between Charles Martin and Anthony Joshua on April 9th.

Fury previously won the IBF strap back in November 2015 in a historic win over Wladimir Klitschko, only for the title to then be unceremoniously taken off of him a short time after winning it.
Southpaw American Charles Martin then won the vacant belt back in January with a TKO win over Ukraine’s Vyacheslav Glazkov, and will now put the title on the line against UK heavyweight rising star Anthony Joshua next up in a big pay per view event in London.
As reported by Metro UK, Fury is not impressed by either the fight or the title:
“That title is a piece of s***. It does not mean anything. It’s a paper title. It’s worthless. Martin or Joshua would never have had the chance to fight for it had I not taken it off Klitschko. Even if I did win it again I’d throw it on the floor and p*** on it.”
Fury is next slated to fight Wladimir Klitschko in a summer rematch expected to be in a UK football stadium, with further details on venue and date to be announced in the coming weeks.
