Mexican former world champion Antionio Margarito made a winning return to the ring after a four year hiatus.

Margarito improved his record to (39-8-27KO) with a unanimous points decision victory over fellow countryman Jorge Paez Jr (39-8-2-23KO) in the Arena Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
The fight was an entertaining battle throughout, with Margarito needing to pick himself up from the deck in round 6 when he was hurt with a solid right hand from Paez Jr.
Margarito proved that he still had his old stamina in droves after the knockdown however, as he came on the stronger of the two down the stretch to ultimately get the win in an excellent fight.
