Keith Thurman Stops Luis Collazo In 7 Rounds
In an entertaining affair in Florida, Keith “One Time” Thurman continued his undefeated streak when New Yorker Luis Collazo failed to come out for the 8th round in their welterweight title encounter.

Early on Thurman was using his boxing ability, sticking and moving very well at times, out boxing Collazo in patches and in general – looking like a champion.
When the fifth round rolled around however, Collazo showed why he’s known as such a tough warrior in the business, when he landed a beautiful left hook to the body of Thurman, who was visibly hurt.
Thurman then showed his own metal and indeed clever wits, to both overcome the hurtful blow to carry on and stay out of trouble for the remainder of the round by using his feet.
Luis looked to up his game in the sixth round, showing more guile and come forward malice, perhaps thinking Thurman was still hurt from the body shot in the sixth.
However Thurman’s superior movement and boxing skills were working a treat, and by this point Collazo had developed a very painful cut over his eye.
After the seventh round ended Collazo had enough from the injury, citing he could not see out of his eye, which handed Thurman the TKO victory.
Inevitably Thurman called out Mayweather in the post-fight interview, whether or not he’ll get his wish, remains to be seen.
