Stephen A Smith spoke to Mayweather this past weekend. What Mayweather told him about a possible McGregor fight happening left Smith very positive about it coming to fruition.
The internet has again gone into a bit of a whirlwind today surrounding the potential spectacle boxing match involving Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.
A report from The Irish Sun this morning claimed that the financial fees have all but being agreed, and that the bout is on the verge of being officially signed.
ESPN’s well known broadcaster Stephen A Smith who has a close relationship with Mayweather, spoke a short time ago on the positive signs Mayweather indicated to him this past weekend about the fight happening.

Make of that what you will, but all signs certainly seem to be pointing to it happening.
Smith in the past has gotten insider access to Mayweather’s home, training camps and lifestyle that not many ever do.
So he definitely knows him well.
The third party he refers to above is most likely the UFC – whom McGregor still has a four fight contract left with.
Lets hope either way something official can be announced on it soon, as it’s really becoming played out at this point.
