Say what you will about the man, he’s one hell of a character.
A short time ago at the UK leg of the pre-fight press conference for the upcoming heavyweight title fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, the undefeated challenger Fury stormed the press conference draped in a batman costume to the amusement of those in attendance.
The famed caped crusader entrance music accompanied the stunt, which is likely to make some headlines ahead of what already is a massive heavyweight event scheduled for Dusseldorf, Germany next month.
Fury appeared initially out of a high end yellow Lamborghini sports car that he drove in, that’s doors opened up automatically to allow the charasmatic Manchester native to make his grand arrival, accompanied by his cousin and fellow heavyweight contender Hughie Fury.
Upon entry into the press conference venue he could be heard shouting: “Who called for batman!?”. It could also be heard shortly after from his trainer and uncle Peter Fury laughing: “You’re bloody mad”.
Head of Sky Sports boxing and press conference announcer Adam Smith noted shortly before the press conference began that: “There’s very few like him”.
Perhaps a truer word was never spoken.
