America and China are not the only ones split in the world.
More are going to a rules based order and China are being left out because of so much aggression, not least near Taiwan, so this from the Washington Post not a hard decision:

Both aligned with the new alliance formed in all regions that America still leads at the end of the day when all is said and done.
