China have completely destabilized the Asia-Pacific region.
To the point of Taiwan arming itself in defense, Japan and South Korea defending their officials more on trips, and from being attacked in media, Australia, The Philippines and many others joining the new alliance in the region, so the following makes little sense.
Speaking on Twitter the Chinese official account for spokesperson press said:
The Asia-Pacific is the common home of countries in the region. Our region’s peace and stability hinges on trust, solidarity & cooperation and requires that we, as members of this region, take our security firmly in our own hands.

Absurd.
It is China’s current ongoing actions that is the problem.
Why else would all the other countries in the region then be currently joining forces in a new alliance to guard against China more?
China’s statements offer little sense and substance.
