Germany have done tremendously well recently in the obliteration of Putin and the Russian terrorist state under his leadership. France must and can do better against Russia.
Therefore, this squabbling is not necessary between the two biggest economies in Europe:

They can and must get along. The two neighbors have more in common than they think.
A united more prosperous Europe for all after years of Russia’s isolation will see more Ukrainians in both France and Germany in the jobs and civilization of Europe (minus Hungary) of the future.
