Overall good trip (and amazing Easter) on this trip back to Ireland recently.
For the purpose of a visa appointment which in the end, can still get one and apply again but screw that now, after all these years. Moving on now. With respect, just don’t need them. Those people needed me and us way, way more, respectfully and without ego. That’s the harsh cold reality and truth of it. Time to settle down now and starting from scratch in life all over again in a fresh start new beginnings going into the unknown a bit 🙂 🤣
Upon analysis of this trip back to Ireland, aside from a diagnosis of drug induced psychosis, likely being spiked before that too, no idea what happened frankly, going off the rails completely, nearly checking out from suicide after having to say goodbye to some dear friends who I will always love very much in America, who were the only thing closest to being family and support system and next of kin for me for many years, certainly during the carnage of the pandemic with all the visa appointments in different countries, and now soon, moving on, starting from scratch at 34 in life and settling down permanently somewhere else (hopefully with sometimes good weather) after all the years chasing America, somewhere with a bit better weather now next, all in all, I’ve been able to analyze various areas of Irish business, government and related entities.
Quite easily in the end.
It’s quite straightforward, really.
Great country but the people and place here are so vulnerable and wide open they don’t even realize it. Each and every single near 7 million of them in Ireland. All of them. It’s kind of depressing in some ways how little they can actually defend of protect themselves. Yeah, sure, granted, I nearly checked out with death again with some crazy self destructive self harm drug psychosis and ended up in hospital recently. But I’ll be alright, just like always. Concerned though before leaving here about this place which really, with respect, the happy leprechaun finance minister should understand is at the mercy of everything at the moment in the world. Seriously.
On a bright note, love Ireland and Irish people. They should all try to get along and love one another a bit more though. They’ll all need each other more than they might even know.
Soberly, even though I’m Irish I’m a bit of an introvert at the best of times and have to work on the old communication skills and try to be more sociable, but the highly social Irish (like the Italians, more social races than most, maybe) people are all the same in so many ways. It is crazy, in a way. It’s almost like, I know them all even better than they all know themselves. If that even makes sense. It’s odd. Bizarre. Ambiguous. Quirky. Strange, maybe…
Getting baptized before Christmas in Mexico and coming back here briefly was strange. Can’t explain it. They have such an interesting way and mannerisms and odd quirks of doing things, all of them, Irish people. More or less because it is an island country and island race, creating us this way in the beginning, maybe…
On the negatives.
Ghost Of Kyiv Sounds Like A Wild Traumatic Man And A Bit Of A Legend But Things Can Get A Million Times Worse
Some of their health system is badly underfunded and way off the mark. You’d have to feel sorry for some of these mental health and psychology people, in fairness. They are in over their head and are too far off the pace. Hopefully they catch up soon with the rest of the world. Same with their lawyers and accountants here. Some good. Some poor. Some just too stupid and of low intelligence and of no use. Frankly.
Ireland, great country and people, other than the weather and some harmless numpty government, one of the best countries in the world. For sure.
Not a bad trip back but now that all the dust has settled, it was all about the visa really, with my real mom and dad long dead and gone at this point, time to move on now after all the years chasing America thinking would settle there, time to settle down in the sun at least for some of the year, hopefully.
The Irish economy, infrastructure and modus of state funded operandi is on borrowed time, one gets the sense.
These Michael Martin, Leo Varadkar, Mary Lou McDonald and Simon Coveney people and all these politician individuals know it too.
They’re goosed, in some ways.
Their housing crisis is coming to a dramatic crashing end for the Irish economy before Q4 in 2022.
It will be one of the most devastating economic and financial realities in Irish history if the current rate of inflation and cost of living increases. Guaranteed.
Unfortunately, the Russia Ukraine crisis, has not helped Ireland like any country to be fair.
That said, there is still a lot of positives that can be salvaged, hopefully.
One thing that seems very strange though is the way the tech laws in Ireland are set up, in some regards, which obviously made Ireland a huge target at the moment worldwide from various law enforcement agencies because of all the stuff with the Russia Ukraine war and Dublin being at the center for the data and privacy laws GDPR with Google, Facebook, different foreign embassies etc.
But another thing that seems to go under the radar, is the State affiliated media organization RTE. What you don’t know behind the scenes sometimes is this organization RTE, or at least actors associated with it in the Irish government — have actually approached private media in Ireland before to acquire them. Terrible idea. Which, in various domestic and international laws, is potentially unlawful and certainly a conflict of interest but more importantly — terribly desperate and — inefficient, too.
These types of strategies have largely not helped.
It keeps getting decimated financially and online viewing figures wise outside of the country of Ireland.
It is no wonder that the people of Ireland don’t value it anymore. Why should they in its current offering?
What’s the offer?
It’s just kind of crap to be fair.
Not all of it, of course.
But really though.
What are they doing.
It could be way better from a tech, UX, legal, mobile, cyber security, operations, production and content standpoint.
Across all verticals and departments.
After undertaking in more research, and upon analysis into the cyber security of the RTE site and associated platforms, moreover, there should be some genuine concerns for it.
It would not last any time really from cyber attacks from international players.
If they really wanted to end it.
In the drop of a hat.
It’s crazy how wild wild west they are in terms of their IP protection. They haven’t got a clue.
This brings up the bigger question about what cyber security Ireland really has to offer, for the country, too — though.
If, apparently, their own government or state affiliated media websites and apps are at the mercy of anyone around the world, as their servers likely are too, where can that all go? Where does that lead to? Where is the leadership?
They really need to get their act together (don’t we all haha 🤣) in the future and really should do some sort of a deal with some of the independent or none State sponsored media in Ireland — to bring the whole thing on. You dummies think Google care about you? Of course not, Google care about the smart, good people who genuinely try help the world, not some government in Ireland, they’d pull the plug on Ireland or some foreign embassies in a heart beat. They’d close this place down in the drop of a hat and go to cheaper places anytime.
Without all their partners and shareholders’ backing and blessing at the end of the day.
Some of these Irish government fellas at RTE should be looking to partner with all the tech, other media and many talented people they have on their own island of Ireland. The potential is unreal, particularly from a tech and infrastructure point of view.
Not only to help it survive (crucially) but bring the whole thing on again — and push everything forward. It’s only for the best.
I don’t know anything.
Otherwise, they’ll just get wiped out and crushed within seconds down the road. Which would be sad, as maybe there is a place for RTE like the Irish language and all the Irish values and history over the years that should not just be lost totally either.
Seriously, this RTE thing is a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. Almost like the Jens Lehmann of soccer goal keepers (just kidding Lehmann, great goal keeper back in the day for Arsenal).
And they know it.
As sure as night follows day.
And morning proceeds night.
In a sense, it will be quite violent almost in the manner in which things will collapse if they don’t get their act together.
And change their laws and policies soon to accommodate any perceived agile lean methodology implementation required to move with the times.
They need to think bigger.
An all island type mentality to pool resources, intelligence and factors of production. It would help everyone in the short and long-term.
Anyway, in conclusion, all in all, coming back to life at the moment.
Grand as always.
Much love and thanks for the support all around the world as usual. Lucky to have the banking partners, corporate America, advertising partners in both the East and West across the world, business partners and of course a worldwide army in you all, through so many times near death. Miraculously and luckily back to full health almost, passed another covid test and all blood tests from a hospital trip.
Starting a new financial/news blog soon. After all this over the years frankly need some new challenges as without being a douchebag, honestly, things got too easy in some ways and need new projects and challenges now with the relocation and fresh start soon.
Great fights to look forward to this month in boxing too!
Team humanity, all day, all day 🙂
