Former heavyweight champion Sonny Liston was one of the big hitters of his day.
Obviously a confident individual given his work and life but away from boxing appeared to be quite a naturally introverted and shy person, when meeting people he didn’t know, but for those that knew him or he got to know when he did come out of his shell from time to time, like former champion George Foreman, they all seem to say one thing — to know him was to love him.
