Boxer Reveals Modest Pay Days Before Winning The World Title

Cuban boxers and MMA fighters for that matter perhaps have some of the most inspirational stories of any fighters.

Boxing fans would certainly say the best amateur boxers in the world nearly always come from Cuba every Olympics.

But there is a new trend in more and more of them having success in the professional boxing ranks too.

Case in point Yordenis Ugas.

He shocked the world last year to beat the great Manny Pacquiao but it was after a lot of work over the years he revealed:

When I came back in 2016 at 15-3 and two and a half years without a fight, I fought two dangerous undefeated fighters (Jamal-Perrela) in 45 days for 10,000$ both times.I did it because I wasn't chasing money,I was chasing the dream.The money would come later along with the dream.

35-year-old Ugas now in the prime of his career and life with options a plenty and the world his oyster.

It is expected he will take on Errol Spence in a huge fight next up.
