Fury and Whyte Fight Could Make A Lot Of Sense

It has been a big year for both heavyweights Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte.

The UK big hitting pair both recorded big wins.

Fury stopping Deontay Wilder in their third fight.

Even more impressively so after it recently emerged he had a significant injury going into the fight.

For Whyte he rectified his stoppage defeat to respected Russian Alexander Povetkin with a knockout win.

Showing his mental fearlessness to get back in the ring straight away with a man who had just knocked him out. No problem for Whyte.

Always very risky strategy but it shows what Whyte is all about and who he is.

Yes, Fury and Whyte are both showmen and a fight between the two would have all the banter and talk and sell very well.

But beneath that are two genuine stories as inspiring as any in boxing perhaps.

Certainly in the heavyweight division.

Fury’s story and comeback from oblivion well documented at this stage.

Whyte’s perhaps not as much so far. One of life’s great survivors Whyte. No victim. Survivor. Who shows it with the quality of his work this year. A big difference and he shows it also in how he keeps going in his boxing career and perseverance for a soon to be finally realized title shot.

Great fight if it happens before finally then a unification of all the belts in the heavyweight division next year.

Eventually an undisputed fight will happen at heavyweight but Alexander Usyk and Anthony Joshua must also rematch first.

Heavyweight boxing is in a great place as 2021 draws to a crescendo.
