Son Of Boxing Icon Not Giving Up On Gennady Golovkin Fight

Son of former world champion Chris Eubank in the UK, Chris Eubank Jr. continues his comeback since defeat to George Groves a few years back.

Groves outpointed him at the time but since then Eubank Jr. has put together four wins on the trot.

Including a unanimous points decision over former champion and Olympic Gold medalist James DeGale.

Now, as part of the new BOXXER tournament, Eubank Jr returns in the UK next month on October 2nd against Sven Ebir.

A fight he should win but one he knows he needs to impressively at the same time.

If he is to get back into the mix of big title fights or big fights in general.

One of those is against veteran boxing legend Gennady Golovkin.

A fight between the two was something mentioned a few years back and is one Eubank Jr. has spoken of recently of still wanting.

Even at this stage of Golovkin’s career, the clash of styles of two such aggressive, all-action fighters, would be very good.

First thing is first though.

October 2nd.

Eubank spoke more about Golovkin here with Sky Sports YouTube (hat tip):
