Unbeaten USA Female World Champion Did Not Flinch At Provocation

Standout amateur and professional American world champion Mikaela Mayer returns to action tonight in Las Vegas.

Mayer has shown to be improving every fight technically in the ring so far (14-0-5 KO).

As current WBO world champion at super-featherweight, she has indicated she wants to try to grow female boxing in America.

With Claressa Shields gone from boxing at the moment, from an American point of view, Mayer could be the next big name to try to revive more interest in women’s boxing in America since Laila Ali.

She can definitely fight, is attractive, intelligent, hard working and has a big platform behind her so, logically and realistically, don’t see why she can’t become a star in the years ahead in America and — internationally — worldwide.

There are many talented fighters and fights to be made of course with fighters around the world.

But, first Mayer must get by opponent Erica Farias tonight.

The former certainly did not flinch at the latter at the weigh-ins as this shows:
