George Foreman Spot On About Modern Day Boxing

There’s often a tiresome and boring narrative of, well, remember the good old days in boxing.

Every era is different and fighters of today’s time can only compete against the level of competition that is available to them.

Without interesting and meaningful competition the whole thing is pointless anyway.

The heavyweight division lost a lot of interest years ago because of that as a case in point.

Boxing has always produced great eras and not least the one that former heavyweight champion turned born again Christian George Foreman competed in.

He made a good point on fighters of today’s times on Twitter:

Heavyweight and welterweight in particular are very itneresting divisions these days.

Same can be said for lightweight and many divisions in boxing.

Fighters in professional boxing are also very willing to move divisions too to take on difficult competition.
