This summer in August one of the great fights of the year so far will take place in boxing.
Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will do battle with young for pound star Errol Spence Jr.
What a fight in store.
Speaking ahead of his latest bout Floyd Mayweather told reporters of the news:
“I just wish them nothing but the best. Both guys. I just wish them both of the guys nothing but the best. Of course I’m behind Errol Spence one hundred per cent. I’m behind my people first always so of course I want to see Errol Spence win. Actually I am going to call him to give him some pointers. I’m not going to tell you because then I’d be given away my strategy.”
It will be interesting to see what Spence does in the fight.
He will surely need to press the action early on Pacquiao and not start slow like he has done in some fights.
Pacquiao will likely come with a lot of speed and angles.
And in and out foot work to try to confuse Spence and make himself a hard target to hit.
The jab of Spence could also prove to be key on fight night.
