Nine Years On From Brutal Knockout Manny Pacquiao Still Here

Boxing, like anything in life, is full of ups and downs.

The art of any comeback only as wise as the amount of times one keeps getting back up.

Manny ‘Pac Man’ Pacquiao knows all about this.

The Filipino coming from humble beginning to reach the top of the mountain.

In world boxing.

But along the way he was knocked down a plenty.

When one considers that in a few short months he steps into the ring with pound for pound rated Errol Spence, he’s come a long way.

Some forget abut a devastating defeat of the past.

When Pacquiao was knocked out cold by Juan Manuel Marquez in their fourth fight in 2012.

Maybe one of the most concusiive one punch knockouts in modern day sweet science championship boxing.

A knockout like that ends careers for many fighters. Or they are never the same.

Not Pacquiao.

He came back stronger and got even stronger.

Pacquiao, now 42-years-old, went on to still become the world champion once again.

A testament to his resolve, dedication, discipline and endurance — even for his upcoming opponent who has come back from a car accident in recent years — inspiration to him too with what type of individual he is stepping in there with.

What a fight in store this summer in Las Vegas.

Here was that knockout brutal knockout defeat back in 2012 to Marquez to put things into context:
