Amateur Boxing Chief gives update on next generation of Boxing in Russia

Russia has always impressed us as a country, and people we respect, and in particular, the fondness and time they have for boxing and for all combat sports.

You don’t have to go very far back in history to see the number of good fighters, champions and their athletes to see this.

Fedor Emelianenko maybe one of the best fighters that ever lived in human history. In any combat sport. Period.

An excellent sportsman, role model for young fighters and a good person.

Boxing in Russia appears to be on the rise again.

The head of amateur boxing internationally (AIBA President) Mr. Umar Kremelev of Russia has posted the following:

Very good.

With more and more English speakers in Russia we will certainly be keeping an eye on the emerging Russian boxers of the future.

President of Russia Mr. Wladimir Putin has been a good supporter of boxing and combat sports over the years:

A very welcoming country indeed for boxing and boxing legend Roy Jones above.

A gentleman and country that seem to appreciate talent and brains in the sport when they see it, to be fair.

With light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol from the great city of Saint Petersburg winning recently, no doubt boxing amateur and professional in Russia will continue to excel in the future.
