Deontay Wilder Angry and Focused On One Thing

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder of Alabama went off the grid a bit following his last fight which was a stoppage defeat to Tyson Fury in February of 2020.

It now appears he is looking to make a comeback to the boxing ring.

When and where, and against who, is unknown just yet.

But, he is still very much angry with former opponent Fury and is looking only for revenge at the moment:

Likely Wilder will be in a warm up fight next up and could possibly face Andy Ruiz Jr. later in the year provided both win their next fights.

At 35, in his prime or so for a modern day heavyweight, Wilder is still the biggest puncher in the sport and has enough power to end anyone’s night in the heavyweight division if he lands.

That in itself will still make him a big draw and if he can polish his technical boxing skills perhaps he can challenge for a title again in 2022.

Wilder lives the life of a boxer for the most part and may not even be in his prime as a heavyweight yet.

The heavyweight titles are thought to be contested in at least two fights next up between Fury and Anthony Joshua.
