Former heavyweight champion George Foreman it turns out was good friends behind the scenes with another one of the sport’s heavyweight champions.
Sonny Liston.
Both considered up there as two of the biggest punchers that ever lived.
Fearsome fighters in their day but similar traits outside the ring to the surprise of some.
However, when inside the squared ropes in training it was all business.
Foreman making a candid admission about what it was like on his official Twitter account:
The pair didn’t actually fight in the ring as professionals but the sparring was apparently as close to the real things as it gets anyway.
No doubt people would have paid to see that sparring.
For sure.
