Tyson Fury Makes Good Point On What’s Going On For Many Boxers

Boxing is one of those sports where traditions are staples for a reason.

Time tested training methods and various other things in the sport are still there for a purpose.

Things like styles make fights and you’re only as good as your last performance spring to mind in this regard.

Another one though is ring rust.

There’s different schools of thought on this.

Some believe different fighters suffer from it more than others.

Others believe that ring activity has a direct correlation to how boxers consistently perform in a calendar year.

While truth my exist in the former, the latter perhaps carries more weight in practicality outside of theoretical notion in the field.

Case in point, former undefeated world champion Josh Warrington this past weekend.

Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury gained a lot of support for his opinion on the matter on social media:

“Tonight the fight world seen another victim of Inactivity in josh Warrington, covid has destroyed a lot of careers. Can’t beat staying active.”

Quite true, ya know.

As for Fury, ‘The Gypsy King’ is expected to take on Anthony Joshua this year in a colossal clash.

Time will tell where and when it happens.

Something to look forward to.
