Teofimo Lopez Is Dead Right About YouTuber Boxing

Teofimo Lopez is considered one of the brightest young talents in the sport of boxing today.

The 23-year-old young man from Brooklyn has come a long way with his father inside his sixteen fight unbeaten professional career thus far.

Capitulating in much deserved world championship success last time out.

Winning a unanimous decision over previously regarded pound for pound stand out Vasyl Lomachenko.

He knows more than most about the sport’s holding and what it means at its core.

While new ventures for the sport are welcome in moderation to grow it, perhaps some of the recent celebrity based YouTuber boxing has overstepped the mark on what boxing is.

Speaking on social media Lopez garnered much support for his remarks:

“Stop this YouTuber Boxing. Stop diminishing the sport that we’ve worked so hard for!”

There has to be a line drawn somewhere.

Perhaps at network level.

The informed decision making process that constitutes potential alleviation of what is brand infringement over any product.

That balancing act and point where something detracts from a sport rather than helps it.

While there is a place for it sporadically and strategically it can’t be to the point where boxing loses the run of itself.

The point at which it goes along with the ways of the world and away from what it has been given by God.

And that is, still being the best sport on Earth.
