Andy Ruiz Reacts To Dillian Whyte Getting Knocked Out By Povetkin

Mexico’s first heavyweight champion of all time and now, former champion, Andy Ruiz has given his take on what transpired this weekend in Whyte vs Povetkin.

A brutal KO no less delivered by Povetkin in the form of a sublime uppercut against the run of play at the time of delivery.

A stark reminder of the brutal realities of the fight game and certainly, of heavyweight boxing.

Surprisingly, Ruiz has taken the opportunity to laugh at his fellow fighter Whyte it would appear:

If this is the case, which I hope it is not, I would politely remind Mr. Ruiz that not long ago he was on the end of a defeat himself in the East against England’s Anthony Joshua.

Indeed, the East and the West may soon meet I sense in terms of more big fights out there for boxing at a date to be determined but also for OTHER world reasons.

Alas, back to Ruiz and Whyte.

Clearly no love lost here.

What a fight it would be too in fairness in terms of clash of styles.

Both warriors with hearts of lions who come forward and throw heavy bombs.

Hard luck to Dillian Whyte this weekend who is understanbly hurting now — no doubt he’ll come again.

Great weekend of boxing all in all — hats off to all the brave fighters involved for making it happen.
