Its been a minute since all-time great boxer Julio César Chávez’ name has cropped up in the boxing news.
Typically you only hear from him around the mega fights in the sport or when his son is boxing.
The latter usually coming with some sort of controversy in recent years.
But when he talks people sure as heck listen.
Without doubt, one of boxing’s all-time greats.
When asked however who he believed is the greatest boxer of all time he revealed it to be Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao:

Interesting stuff.
Obviously pound for pound all-time great boxing lists are never easy at the best of times.
They are totally subjective of course but the above carries a lot of weight.
Pacquiao has won world titles in more weight divisions than anyone in history.
So, certainly his name should at least be considered in the top ten or fifteen at least all things considering.
Particularly coming from boxing royalty above like Chavez Sr. perhaps more will move Pacquiao higher up in their all-time lists.
