Leo Santa Cruz Confirms Next Opponent and What A Fight It Is Too

While the world and the sport of boxing continues to experience a shut down some bright bits of news are starting to seep out behind the scenes.

When the sport does return there are some cracking fights to be made after all.

One such fight now looks like it is virtually a done deal between two top operators in the lower weight classes.

Speaking to the olks at Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip) three-weight world champion Leo Santa Cruz of Mexico confirmed he’ll be taking on young American boxing star Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis next up:

Quality stuff in fairness.

25-year-old Davis has been improving well in recent years but this is by far the biggest step up of his career.

Santa Cruz has only ever lost once in his career (Carl Frampton) and will test the young Davis in all sweet science departments.

All in all an excellent bout.

Certainly something to look forward to when boxing does return.

31-year-old Santa Cruz currently holds a pro boxing record of 37-1-1-19 KO.

Davis a record of 23-0-22 KO.
