Floyd Mayweather Gets Deep After The Loss Of Uncle Roger Mayweather

Recently former pound for pound number one boxer Floyd Mayweather lost both his uncle Roger Mayweather and the mother of three of his children in a short space of time.

Mayweather who is often seen as out spoken and a polarizing figure has been in philosophical mood following two major life moments for him following the loss of two people close.

Speaking on Instagram live to NFL star Antonio Brown:

“I’ve still got four children to take care of. My uncle Roger’s funeral is tomorrow. That comes with the territory. There’s only one thing that is promised. We’ve all got to go home. While we are here, be entertaining. Live life. Have fun. That’s what my children’s mother always told me. Do what makes you happy.”

He added:

“Tough times don’t last. Tough people do. God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.”

Mayweather had been saying he was planning a combat sports entertainment venture of some kind later in 2020.

A type of exhibition.

That now looks like it will be well and truly shelved following the current Coronavirus pandemic cancelling most sporting events for the foreseeable future.
