George Foreman’s Reaction To Wilder Fury 2 Gets Huge Response

No doubt former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, his team and loved ones are hurting today.

The likable Alabama native suffered his first professional defeat on Saturday via a 7th round stoppage to Tyson Fury at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Losses are always painful but we learn much more through defeat in life of course than we do in victory.

The fact Wilder wanted to fight on last night at the time of the stoppage tells you everything you need to know.

He’s a warrior and without doubt will come again.

One of the sport’s great champions and like Wilder, one of the sport’s biggest punchers, George Foreman summed it up well:

Very nice to see from a champion of years gone by to a champion in today’s times.

Moving forward it is thought that Wilder will active his rematch clause but time will tell.

The best thing to do here is perhaps for him to take a week or two to relax and spend time with his loved ones before making any decisions.

He’s a competitor though, Wilder, he’ll want to get back in there as soon as possible I’d imagine.

Pending how his injuries are, whoever it is he faces next, I’d expect to see him box again by the summer.
