Tyson Fury Recalls His 3 Best Fights Ahead Of Deontay Wilder 2

Tyson Fury is currently within intensive preparations for arguably the biggest fight of his life on February 22nd in Las Vegas.

A heavyweight super fight that sees him takes on WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in a highly anticipated showdown.

Since the old days, heavyweight boxing has evoked something kind of different in sports fans and finally, in recent years, boxing’s once glamor division appears to be showing strong signs of revival with the general public once more.

Perhaps in no large part to Fury and Wilder’s first fight in December 2018 it should be said.

A fight that although ended in a draw, a bout that really captured the public’s imagination for its compelling action in the ring and two larger than life personalities outside of it.

Speaking to Steve Kim of ESPN ahead of the blockbuster rematch this month Fury looked back on it all to date.

Stating his three most memorable moments in the ring as the following:

“The Klitschko one. The Deontay Wilder fight. The Derefc Chisora fight.”

On Klitschko he noted:

“Yeah. Yeah (nodding in response to – was it just toppling the long time champion).”

On Chisora he said:

“Because I was a 6-1 underdog in the first one. He was supposed to knock me out. He was number one with the WBO and I was like 15 or 16. I only got the opportunity because Wladimir Klitschko pulled out of the fight with him and I stepped in and kicked his a**. And the second time we fought was special, too, because it was a final eliminator to fight Wladimir.”

On the first Wilder fight he noted:

“You know when you won fights. I don’t need anyone to pat me on the back and say you won that or you didn’t. As fighters we know whether we win or lose. I know I won that fight.”

Not long to go now and he’ll have a chance to set the record straight.

Wilder will no doubt have his own plans, full steam ahead February 22nd.
