Boxing star Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has been embroiled with a controversial video this weekend with a female.
The following video was posted by the UK’s Billy Joe Saunders allegedly showing Davis getting physical with a woman who was accompanying him at an event:
The video has caused a lot of controversy online so far.
However, writer Michael Benson (hat tip) has pointed the following response from Davis so far to the video:
Davis at the moment is being built to be one of the biggest stars in boxing but fans have not taken well to the above.
It is hoped Davis will box at least three times this year with some major bouts as part of that plan.
One would hope a talent as strong as Davis can stay disciplined and focused from here on out in his pro career as after all, a professional boxing career is a very, very short one.
No doubt he is already building an impressive fan base, in terms of tickets sold, certainly in the US — but he will have to step up his competition this year.

Davis’ last fight came recently during the holiday season when he stopped Cuban veteran Yuri Gamboa inside the distance.
A big fight continued to be called for this year for Davis is Tevin Farmer.
Whether or not we’ll see it remains to be seen.
