Last Minute Move Will Ensure Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 2 Madness

Perhaps one of the biggest heavyweight fights the sport of boxing has seen in years is quickly approaching.

Refreshingly — early in the year too.

Admittedly, when I learned yesterday that the bout will indeed now have a formal press conference this Monday I felt re-energized.

Previously it was expected there would be no press conference for the event next month and that the two would just appear on promos plugged by ESPN and Fox on college football programs and the like leading up to fight night.

Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed.

It is now confirmed that a press conference where the two fighters will be present will take place this coming Monday (January 13th) at LA at approximately 2pm local time on the West coast.

Expect fireworks, madness and in general, one heck of a show come Monday to announce what promises to be an epic rematch.

WBC champion Wilder previously retained his belt when the pair met last in December 2018 due to the fight being scored a draw.

A controversial result in the eyes of many but make no mistake, both boxers will look to leave no doubt this time.

Fury has enlisted new trainers Sugar Hill and former world champion Andy Lee into his new coaching set up.

The rematch between Wilder and Fury will take place on February 22nd next month at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Indeed, the rematch promises to breathe life into the sport as a whole between not only two of the top tier heavyweight fighters in the world today — but also two of the sport’s modern great characters and gentleman.

Full steam ahead Las Vegas.
