Tyson Fury Responds To Anthony Joshua’s Sparring Offer

Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has taken time to react to the sparring offer proposed to him by the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua, but in true Fury fashion, he’s had a unique response.

Taking to social media (hat tip Michael Benson) Fury has released the following response to his fellow UK heavyweight rival:

Fury in recent days reportedly split from his trainer Ben Davison ahead of his rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder in the new year.

A move that has raised a few eyebrows considering Davison had helped bring Fury back in recent years and lose an astonishing amount of weight on route to his return.

It is thought the move was a mutually respectful one by both parties who wanted different things in their career at the moment.

As for the above renewed back and forth between Fury and Joshua above, if they do fight at some point — expect it to be a gigantic event.

Indeed, with all the talk of Joshua vs Wilder and Fury vs Wilder in recent years, it’s easy to forget just how big Fury vs Joshua would be too.

Particularly in the UK where it would without doubt sell out Wembley stadium many times over.

Yes, in fairness, 2020 promises to be an epic year for the heavyweight division in boxing.
