George Foreman Makes Interesting Point Ahead Of Ruiz vs Joshua 2

We’re not long away now from tonight’s fight for three versions of the heavyweight championship of the world.

Champion Andy Ruiz and challenger Anthony Joshua will do battle in a rematch following on from Ruiz’ shock win earlier this year in New York.

So many theories about what happened before that fight have done the rounds since.

Notions ranging from Joshua getting knocked out in sparring before the fight — to his father bickering with promoter Eddie Hearn in the changing rooms.

To even the speculation that he suffered a panic attack before setting foot to the ring.

Whatever happened, he certainly wasn’t himself that night.

Even after Ruiz won by knockout Joshua’s reaction was odd in how well he took the defeat.

Almost being too nice about suffering the first loss of his career.

That said, he’s left nothing to chance this time round, noticeably trimmer for tonight’s mega fight in Saudi Arabia.

The same can’t be said for Ruiz however.

After an initial weight loss in this training camp the Mexican-American came in quite heavy on Friday’s scales.

Legendary heavyweight boxer George Foreman has made some solid points on this going into tonight’s fight:

The latter point is very interesting here.

Ruiz was fully clothed in the weigh-in which very well could have added a couple of extra pounds.

Whatever his weight, Ruiz has proven in the past that his hand speed and conditioning has never been compromised.

Don’t expect him to gas out tonight.
