A wise old man once told me that life is a journey of ups and downs and WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is a chap all too familiar with this.
A boxer who fought his way up from nothing and who took up the sport in the first place while working multiple jobs primarily to support his daughter.
Fast forward years on and Wilder finds himself at the top of the fight game.
And rightly so, after many exciting knockouts along the way as a pro and before that through representing USA Boxing as an amateur at Olympic level.
Later this month on November 23rd at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas he rematches a dangerous old foe in the form of Luis Ortiz.
One of the division’s most skilled and long time avoided fighters whom badly shook Wilder to his boots back in March of last year when they fought first.
Wilder is brutally honest about that and indeed what a loss would to do him second time round.
