Shakur Stevenson Goes Full Matrix Mode On Route To Beating Girlfriend’s Brother

Newark’s Shakur Stevenson impressed again this weekend with a fine showing over Joet Gonzalez in Reno.

The 22-year southpaw featherweight looks like he is really starting to settle down into the professional ranks now.

He looks to be bringing his polished amateur pedigree and skills more and more into the paid game each time he boxes.

In essence, he did what he needed to do on route to a comfortable unanimous points decision victory.

One of the more interesting moments in the fight was the following — where Stevenson displayed incredible defense in a stellar display of boxing skill:

Top notch defensive boxing skills there.

Perhaps his offense is not quite up there just yet but that will come in time.

At the age of 22 only, if he’s guided correctly and stays on the right path — there really is no reason why this guy can’t become a very good world champion in the coming years.
