Watch: Jermell Charlo Produces Knockout of the Year Contender

Jermell Charlo Produces Knockout

Former super-welterweight champion Jermell Charlo wasted little time erasing the first defeat of his pro career this weekend.

Charlo lost his title last time out to Tony Harrison whom he was meant to fight this weekend but due to a late injury to Mexican Jorge Cota was drafted in.

The third round brought about the beginning of the end for Cota who was dropped twice and failed to recover.

Here’s the moment Jermell Charlo produced a potential knockout of the year contender live on Fox:

What a punch. What a finish.

Quite the way to bounce back from defeat in fairness.

It is said you can judge a man much better in how he reacts to defeat and comes back from adversity in life than in victory.

Jermell Charlo proved he’s made of the tough stuff last night.

Straight after the fight he called out Tony Harrison for an immediate shot at his old belt at 154lbs.

The win last night improved Charlo’s record as a professional to 32-1 (16 KO).
