The Moment Amir Khan Was Stopped By Terence Crawford

Brave UK welterweight contender Amir Khan was stopped inside the distance as expected by pound for pound supremo Terence Crawford last night in New York.

But perhaps in circumstances that were a bit out of the blew.

It should be noted that Khan was always a big underdog coming into the fight.

To be fair.

Facing a man considered to be one of the very best boxers in the world today who was in his prime was never going to be an easy thing to contend with in the first place.

Khan was dropped in the opening round and after being on the receiving end of an accidental low blow in round 6 the Bolton fighter after speaking to his corner said he was in too much pain to continue.

Here is the moment the fight ended:

There were a number of boos following the fight getting stopped.

It will be interesting to see where Khan goes from here or if a long awaited fight with Kell Brook might still be salvageable at this point.

As for Crawford, calls for a mega fight with fellow title holder and undefeated pound for pound star Errol Spence continue.
