Deontay Wilder Reacts To Jarrell Miller Failing Drug Test For Joshua Fight

The scramble is now on to find heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua a new opponent for June 1st following the news this week that his opponent Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller had failed a VADA test.

News of the B-Sample is still being awaited but in all likelihood Miller will not now be granted a license by the New York State Athletic Commission for the fight.

Miller did release a statement on Instagram protesting his innocence but he has been met with a lot of anger from fellow fighters in his division since the news broke.

Speaking on an Instagram live video WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder said:

“Man f*** Baby Miller.”

He later went on to say:

“Ya’ll stay away from these f**** PEDs man. That s*** ain’t good for you. Stay away. There’s a lot of them (taking them) too. I know all of ya’ll. Man trust me. Trust me.”

Because there is so much money in boxing again at the moment the issue of performance enhancing drugs appears to be becoming more and more of a problem in what is now turning into a worldwide issue.

Promoter of Joshua, Eddie Hearn mentioned during the week that due to the costs of doing random VADA testing for every fight on a TV card many promoters cannot afford such cost and that some fighters will invariably slip through the net.
