Boxing World Pay Tribute To Claressa Shields’ Stunning Achievement

This past weekend female boxing star Claressa Shields cemented her place into boxing history in one of the biggest women’s world title fights ever to take place in the sport.

Beating Christina Hammer by unanimous decision Shields became the undisputed middleweight champion of the world now holding all four titles (WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF).

An incredible feat when you consider she did so in only her 9th pro fight (9-0-2KO).

Perhaps what makes her achievement even more incredible is that she did all this while also having two Olympic gold medals in the bag before she even turned pro in recent years.

Considering women’s boxing only got into the Olympics back in 2012 and Shields is still only 24-years-old, she has to be one of the most accomplished fighters of all time already.
