Keith Thurman’s Next Fight Close To Being Announced

It has been an interesting few years for Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman who at one time (pardon the pun) was considered in the eyes of many to be one of the very best welterweights in the world.

Time waits for no man in this life though and due to injuries and getting married, Thurman sat out for quite some time last year and is currently working his way back up the ladder that is the 147lbs shark pool.

The good news is because he’s under the Premier Boxing Champions banner with Al Haymon there’s no shortage of welterweight opponents out there for him.

Outside of WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford most of the top welterweights are now with Premier Boxing Champions.

It is understood that Keith Thurman’s next fight and second opponent of 2019 is close to being announced in the very near future.

The front runner for this in recent weeks has been Filipino boxing legend Manny ‘PacMan’ Pacquiao and although the Filipino boxing legend has been linked with a Floyd Mayweather rematch, the reality is that he’ll likely face Thurman first in the summer.

As for Thurman, if we’re being brutally honest, ‘One Time’ had a less than impressive showing in his first fight of 2019 in January with he had his comeback fight against Josesito Lopez at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

He won the fight by majority decision but in truth he looked terrible and nowhere near the man who beat Danny Garcia back in 2017.

Thurman comes across as a pretty honest guy however, so if he’s being honest with himself — he’ll know this deep down and will be putting in the work as we speak ahead of what should be a summer return to the ring.

Keith Thurman holds a professional boxing record of 29-0-22KO at this time.
