Christina Hammer Makes Bold Claim About Claressa Shields’ Weight Problems

This time next week the boxing world will have crowned an undisputed middleweight female world champion with the loser having also lost her undefeated record as a pro.

But who cares about the latter in that statement though — if it’s a good fight which it should definitely be — undefeated records just don’t matter anymore.

This fight represents a bout to crown the lineal middleweight world champion in what many consider to be the biggest women’s boxing match of all time.

Yes, Claressa Shields of the USA and Christina Hammer of Germany are well and truly in fight mode now.

Today Hammer has revealed (that according to her) Shields has missed the safety check weight limit with one of the organization’s sanctioning the unification (WBC):

Dear oh dear.

Reading between the lines, one suspects this will bring about a candid response from Shields in the not too distant future with fight week kicking off tomorrow ahead of what should be a fight to remember next weekend.

The fight between these two young ladies takes place next Saturday at the inonic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and will have the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO world titles all on the line and will be shown live on Showtime.
